TEST REPORT - The Easy Motion Max 700+ PCS
By now many of you know my predilection to take the best of what is available and make it better, or at least better suited to my personal needs. It this case, I’ve been in pursuit of commuting perfection - to find the best balance between an electric bike that feels and rides like a quality bike and and electric bike that offers the speed and range to be a commuting rocket ship. Well, I have finally unleashed the Easy Motion PCS and I have to tell you, it’s pretty amazing. To be fair, the stock out of the box Easy Motion Max 700 is an excellent bike, with a bullet proof 250W Panasonic mid-drive motor and Shimano XT derailleur system built on a solid frame with sexy lines. I could easily ride it as is but that takes all the fun out of it! So I stripped the bike down to the bare frame, grafted a 300W Panasonic mid-drive lifted from one of my German bikes, rebuilt the rear wheel around the Shimano Alfine 11 speed internally geared hub, rebuilt the front wheel around a new Shimano XT disc hub, added full SKS fenders and Rack Time AddIt rack. Up front I replaced the stock Suntour Swing Shock fork with a rigid carbon fork from the Easy Motion Road series frame. I also replaced the flat bars with 3T Ergonova drop bars with flat tops and for the finishing touch I used the new Versa brake lever/shifter combo specially designed in the UK to work with the Alfine 11 hub. The Versa levers look and feel very much like the Dura Ace levers on my regular road bike but only the right lever has shifting capability. For brakes I chose to use Avid BB7 Road calipers on Shimano Centerlok rotors - not many options out there for disc calipers that work with road levers. Fortunately, the BB7’s are a great product (I use the same on my Co-Motion Tandem). I added a top of the line Busch & Mueller LED headlight and tail light, both of which operate off the battery and some Continental Top Contact 37mm wide touring tires and I was ready to go. My first ride home was quite a thrill. What a joy to have all that power assist and an aero riding position. I won’t even tell you how fast this thing is because I don’t want the local officials looking out for me. Rest assured, there isn’t a bike on the road that I can’t chase down. I’ve already put about 1,000 miles on it and I’m loving every mile. Part of that love comes from the super comfy Brooks B17 saddle mounted on a Profile Designs Cobra carbon seatpost, but mostly it comes from a super solid feel with precise handling, great brakes and the power assist to sustain commuting speeds. Come on in to Pete’s in Boulder and check it out. I’d be happy to build one for you.

The very core of your writing whilst sounding agreeable at first, did not really work well with me personally after some time. Someplace throughout the paragraphs you actually were able to make me a believer unfortunately just for a short while. I still have a problem with your jumps in logic and you might do nicely to fill in those breaks. When you can accomplish that, I will definitely be amazed.
